The 5 week Eat Local Challenge to encourage people to eat food locally grown in their area and support local farmers is in full swing. On August 30th 2014, we will be showing attendees at the Waianae farmers market how grow your own fruit tree. We will also have mangoes and other fruit trees available for purchase. This year the keynote speaker is tropical fruit specialist Dr. Roger Leaky. There will be other nationally known presenters as well, and of course the great opportunity to meet/network with other fruit growers across the state.
