Waianae Farmers Market - "Eating Local" presentation Aug 30

The 5 week Eat Local Challenge to encourage people to eat food locally grown in their area and support local farmers is in full swing.  On August 30th 2014, we will be showing attendees at the Waianae farmers market how grow your own fruit tree.  We will also have mangoes and other fruit trees available for purchase.  For more info on this event click here

The theme this year - "It's all about production". Go to www.hawaiitropicalfruitgrowers.org for more information about this great organization and informative conference.  This year the keynote speaker is tropical fruit specialist Dr. Roger Leaky.  There will be other nationally known presenters as well, and of course the great opportunity to meet/network with other fruit growers across the state.  They will also be holding mini conferences on each island, designed to showcase what each place has to offer. Boys and Girls Club of Waianae - Makaha Mangoes offering great prizes at auction

Makaha Mangoes is participating in the great auction at the Boys and Girls Club of Waianae tonight at Lanikuhonua. They are having their annual Walk in The Country fundraiser.
